Maleny Beef is choice yearling beef produced in a hormone free, natural environment. The health and temperament of these animals is reflected in our natural, tender and lean beef. Many consumers are not aware that much of the meat they purchase in supermarkets has been implanted with a growth hormone. We choose not to do this.
We are grateful you choose to purchase your beef direct from the Farmer as an alternative to supermarket shopping. We are able to keep our quality product at a low price by maintaining this direct relationship between us (as producer) and your family. Maleny Beef was inspired in a genuine attempt to help families eat quality meat at an affordable price. In so doing, the process has become a wonderful way for us to make a contribution when marketing our product. With the escalating retail price of meat, we receive intrinsic satisfaction knowing we play a small role in assisting families 'feed the kids' with healthy, quality, affordable meat. This is compounded when lovely people call up seeking meat for a local club or footy BBQ. As a producer, it is a lot more fun seeing your product and efforts appreciated and sought after than sending a beast to the 'meatworks'.
We are passionate about our cattle - both the Stud and Commercial lines. Temperament plays a big part in the eating experience, and our stud efforts have greatly assisted in breeding this important trait. We are very lucky to raise our cattle in such a pristine and natural environment and again, it all contributes to a healthy, more confident eating experience. You can be assured that Maleny Beef products conform to our strict selection and quality criteria.
